The pool and pool house are orientated in the sunniest part of the garden, along with a terrace for loungers, which is partly enclosed by a low rendered wall. A raised planter and integral timber seat are built on the opposite side of the wall to create the sense of an enclosed courtyard near the kitchen.
Grasses, long flowering Penstemons and Lavender are threaded through the terrace borders, with architectural, silver Astelia chamatica planted for structure later in the year.
