Gardener's Garden
The client wanted to reclaim the garden, which was largely planted with mature evergreens. The request was to fill the garden with light, colour and seasonal changes, which in turn attracts a wider range of wildlife into the garden.

Design
Curvilinear shapes in the layout soften the edges of garden, with a lawn path leading beneath a rusted corten arch to a circular seating area in Indian sandstone, where an Oak seat and ceramic birdbath provide an attractive space to sit and contemplate.
Columns of Hornbeam around the perimeter of the garden link the wide borders, filled with plants selected to flower over a long period throughout the year. Hellebores, Lavender, Grasses, hardy Geraniums and Verbena bonariensis bring constant changing colours into the garden.
