The outdoor pizza oven is housed in a softwood timber clad unit, topped with a poured microcement cooking and preparation surface. Downlights highlight the cooking area for evening meals. Planting in this area combines with herbs essential for the BBQ, Rosemary, Thyme and Oregano.
Closer to the house, the steps are re-clad with the sandstone, and the terrace is expanded to make space for more seating and a firepit. The borders were widened and brought nearer to the house for greater impact when viewed from inside. Pittosporum ‘Golf Ball’ and Lavenders punctuate the scheme with Buddleia and Hebes to attract butterflies and encourage young wildlife enthusiasts.
